San Luis Obispo, California – AIVA Arquette And Easton Both hit Solo Home-Runs to send the sixth Range Oregon State to a 4-1 victory over Cal Poly in the Drie-Game Series Opener Friday evening in Baggett Stadium.
Oregon State scored in each of the first four innings and then got six innings of scoreless relief by Eric Segura” Tanner Douglas And Joey Mundt To close the game.
Arquette went deep into the second start of the game and first put the beavers (17-3) on the board. In the meantime, Valt rode in the last run of the game during his second home run in the fourth.
AJ -singer Singled in a run in the second and Canon Reeder drove home Gavin Turley On a triple in the third.
Reeder and Turley both had two hits to lead the Beavers while Oregon State 13 generally registered. Singer and talt had two each.
Nelson Keljo Started for the Beavers and allowed a run in the first inning and worked three innings. Segura took over in the fourth and kept Cal Poly (13-7) scoreless over four innings, and threw eight, similar to a career high. He limited the Mustangs to three hits and two walks and eventually earned the victory, improved to 4-0 in the year.
Douglas recorded the first two of the eighth before Mundt came into relief. The right side ended the eighth and then got a bit of a jam in the ninth, but got a strikeout with two to end the game.
He earned the salvation, his first of the season.
Griffin Naess started for Cal Poly and took the loss after allowing nine hits and four runs in four innings. He fell to 2-2.

The teams play Game Two of the Series in Baggett Field in San Luis Obispo on Saturday. The first pitch is planned at 3 p.m. and it will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
